General
These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website. By accessing this website and/or placing an order as a Registered or Guest customer you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If for any reason you disagree with any of these terms and conditions, you may not use or access this website.

Please note that we aim to respond to all customer emails within 24 hours, though this can be slightly longer over the weekend, bank holiday periods and peak times.
Amendments
We reserve the right to change or remove this website in part, or in full, temporarily or permanently without prior notice and we will not be held liable to you or any third party for the modification or withdrawal of this site.
We also reserve the right to amend these terms and/or conditions without prior notice and in continuing to use the website following such change will be deemed acceptance of such amendment(s). It is your responsibility to regularly check the terms and conditions for changes. If you disagree with any amendments to these terms and conditions, you must cease using this website immediately.
Definitions

Use of the Website
You are provided with access to this website in accordance with these conditions and all usage of this website including, but not limited to, placing an order, or registering as a member must be conducted in strict accordance with these conditions.
You warrant that any personal information that you provide, for any reason, is true, accurate and current. You also warrant that you will notify us immediately via email or phone of any changes to your personal information. Alternatively, you will update this information manually on your account when logged in to www.rowenagc.com
You agree not to impersonate any other person or business, use false details, or use those that are misleading. In this case we reserve the right to cancel any account or any orders and process refunds where necessary. If refunds are made, then these will be done under the conditions of our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations policy.
Promotion Codes
Promotion code promotions are only valid for orders placed online only. Promotion codes are not valid in conjunction with any other voucher code or offer, unless otherwise stated. The promotion code is only valid on specified product categories. Furniture and Clearance ranges excluded. The promotion codes are valid at the time of ordering, on new orders placed via the website.
We reserve the right to decline orders where, in its opinion, a promotion code is invalid. Promotion codes are only valid on specific products, while stocks last and may be withdrawn at any time. Only one voucher code can be used per order, per person.
In the event of product returns, refunds will be given for the value of the original purchase, i.e.: With applied discount. Not at the RRP of the item. In the event of part of the order being returned, the monetary value returned will be the value of the item/s at the time of the transaction, ie: with discount applied. The promotional discount will not be applied to replacement items. If the offer is still valid at the time of making a return you should place a new order using the original promotional code.
Indemnity
You agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold us, and our officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees arising from any breach of the conditions by you, or any other liabilities out of your use of this website or the use by anybody else who accesses the website on your behalf.

Rowena Garden Centres Ltd understands that privacy is important to you and makes every effort to ensure that your personal information is treated with the highest level of confidentiality, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 or (from 25 May 2018) the General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) and the Data Protection Act 2018. In addition, we will not sell any information about you to any other party.
For you to place an order and/or register as a member, we have to collect certain information from you, including contact information.
The details you provide may include your name, email address, delivery address, telephone number, product sub-selections, credit or debit card number, the card’s expiry date and billing address. Your personal information will be stored securely for as long as necessary and consistently with the purpose for which you provided it.
Whilst using this website, we may collect, store, and use the following types of data that are gathered in relation to your activity.
- Information about the PC or device that you are using and your visits to the website such as your IP address, location, browser type, source of referral, length of visit and page views. This information is used to make improvements to the website and service we offer.

Rowena Garden Centres are dedicated to being clear and honest about the use of your information, and the ways in which we monitor the usage of our website. After all, we understand just how important your privacy and security are to you and will make ongoing improvements to our site, including improvements relating to privacy and cookies.
Purchase of Products
We will endeavour to keep the details of your order and payment secure, taking reasonable care in all actions that are within our power to do so. However, in no circumstance, other that which is deemed negligent on our part, shall we be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third-party gains unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing the website or placing an order.
Contract Creation
Shortly after placing an order, you will receive acknowledgement of your order via email. This acknowledgement confirms the items, and the prices of the items, that you have ordered and does not act as confirmation or acceptance of your online order.
The contract is formed between yourself, and Rowena Garden Centres is done when we dispatch the goods that you have ordered and not before this point. A contract is not formed at the point where payment is taken, nor is one formed at the point where we acknowledge your order via email. Until your order is dispatched, Rowena Garden Centres reserve the right to decline part of your order or in its entirety.
If an item is out of stock, it will normally be labelled as ‘Out of Stock’ on our website. If, for any other reason we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be liable to you except to ensure that you are not charged for that item.
Following the formation of the contract between yourself and Rowena Garden Centres, we shall continue to own any goods ordered until full payment is received from you, even if the goods have already been delivered.
Non-acceptance of your order could be the result of; one or more of the items on your order being out of stock or unavailable, failure to obtain payment for your order, the identification of a pricing or product description error or you failing to meet the eligibility outlined in the terms and conditions.
The contract will be concluded in English and Rowena Garden Centres will not be held responsible for the translation to any other language.
Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
This legislation offers you the following cancellation rights when you place an order online.
- You are entitled to cancel your contract, provided that you exercise this right no later than 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods.
- Your right to return products does not apply to goods made to your specification, which have been clearly personalised or which, by reason of their nature, cannot be returned or are likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
- If you exercise your right to cancel, you are obliged to retain possession of the goods and take reasonable care of them.
- To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of this decision to cancel your contract by a clear statement, including your name, address, details of the order you wish to cancel and your phone number and email address, where available.
- You can cancel by contacting us via email, phone or writing. Contact details can be found at the base of these terms and conditions or in the ‘Contact Us’ section of this website.
- If you do cancel, you should return the goods to us at your cost within 14 days of cancellation. We will then reimburse you the amount in relation to these goods. Further information regarding refunds can be found in the ‘Refunds, Returns & Cancellations’ section of these term and conditions.
- We reserve the right to make a deduction from the reimbursement for the loss of value of any of the good supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
Description of Products & Pricing
We aim to display and describe all products as accurately as possible; however, they may look different in real life. We take care to produce product descriptions and specifications accurately though these can differ at times from the physical product. If the product does differ from the description of the product at the time of placing the order, you have the right to return it under our returns policy.
The price of each product refers to the product alone, excluding the cost of delivery and any other services. We reserve the right to change prices on our website and in-store at any time without notice. Where any decorative accessories are shown with our products, these are not included with your order unless we specifically state that they are included.
We have made every effort to display the products on our website as accurately as possible. However, the equipment we use, as well as the display and colour capabilities of the equipment you use to view the site, may affect the appearance of the product you see on the screen. We cannot be held liable for any limitations of the equipment you use to view our site and cannot guarantee that your equipment display of any colour or detail of merchandise will be accurate or the same as the actual product.
Payment Options
Registered & Guest Customers
We can accept MasterCard, Maestro, Visa and Visa Electron via a secure payment gateway.
In addition, we also accept payment via PayPal.
PayPal allows you to pay for goods online simply and securely, just enter your email address and password, PayPal will do the rest. If you already have an account with PayPal, you can choose to pay by PayPal at the checkout.
We reserve the right to vary or withdraw these without notice.
If your credit/debit card is rejected by our online payment gateway, please double check that the details you have entered are correct and that your card is both valid and suitable to use with our online payment system. If the problem persists, please contact your card provider. In addition, your name and billing address details must match the card holder address held by your card issuer.
If, for any reason, there is a problem in collecting payment from your credit/debit card after we have acknowledged receipt of your order, we will not be obliged to dispatch your order.
Furthermore, we may be unable to process an order if; one or more of the items is out of stock or unavailable, your payment has been declined and/or there is an unspecified technical error.
Gift Cards, eVouchers & Promotions.
Gift Cards
- Rowena Garden Centres gift cards can be purchased from and be used in any Rowena Garden Centres stores and the balance on the card redeemed for in-store purchases in full or part payment (excluding third-party concessions including, but not limited to, in-store restaurants) at any time whilst the card is valid. Unfortunately, at this time Gift Cards cannot be used online.
- To redeem an amount against your Gift Card, it must be presented at the checkout along with your Rowena Garden Centres membership card. The amount redeemed from a card will be shown on the till receipt which should be kept for your records.
- Treat your Gift Card like cash, lost or stolen cards cannot be refunded or replaced. Please note that a Gift Card is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card and no interest is paid on card balances.
- The Gift Card balance cannot be replenished and as such Gift Cards should be disposed of in a responsible manner when the total balance has been redeemed.
- No change can be given for the remaining Gift Card balance and no balance of a Gift Card can be exchanged for cash.
- Rowena Garden Centres cannot be held liable for lost/stolen cards or the credit amount on such cards.
- Rowena Garden Centres reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and/or discontinue the Gift Card scheme at any time.
- Rowena Garden Centres will not keep the balance of Gift Cards separate from its own funds. Gift Card balances are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or the Financial Ombudsman Service.
- Nothing in these terms and conditions will affect your statutory rights.
- Rowena Garden Centres Gift Cards are issued by Rowena Garden Centres Ltd, Loughborough Rd, Rothley, LE7 7NL.

eVouchers
- eVouchers are valid online only, unless otherwise stated, and cannot be used in-store or exchanged for in-store vouchers or coupons.
- eVouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
- eVouchers are valid for single use only and any remaining balance for an eVoucher will be lost if the full amount is not claimed in the single use. No amount will be held as credit against your account and cannot be claimed against subsequent orders.
- If you wish to return goods that were purchased online using an eVoucher, in most circumstances, we will issue you with another eVoucher of equivalent value to the invoice value of the goods returned.
- The value of an eVoucher refers to the price after VAT has been added.
Promotional Discounts and Events
Rowena Garden Centres run occasional promotions, discounts and events both in-store and online. These promotions are managed individually and are likely to differ between our stores and website. Therefore, online promotional discounts, offers and event advertised on www.rowenagc.com, any social media platform or by any other communication will only be valid on purchases made onwww.rowenagc.com. These will not always apply to a promotion or offer relating to a purchase made in-store, unless otherwise stated.
In addition, in-store only promotional discounts, offers and events advertised in-store, on any social media platform or via any other communication, are only valid on purchases made in-store, unless otherwise stated.
All promotions are subject to stock availability and are held on a first come first served basis. Rowena Garden Centres reserve the right to amend or cancel any promotion without notice and additional terms and conditions may apply to individual promotions.
Delivery
General Delivery Terms
- Please note, in exceptional circumstances where you are placing a large order and the weight/volume exceeds our standard delivery criteria, additional charges will be incurred. This will be discussed with you before dispatching your order and a member of our customer service team will be in contact to confirm the additional delivery cost. If contact cannot be made – this may result in the cancellation of your order.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address is capable of accepting delivery of the product(s). Such as ensuring that there is sufficient room for a large vehicle to make the delivery.
- We will bear no liability to you in respect of any delay or failure to deliver a product due to circumstances beyond our control including but not limited to delay or failure caused by adverse weather, strikes or transport problems.
- We reserve the right to change our delivery services, services and/or terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
- Orders may require a signature to acknowledge delivery. The signature of the person accepting delivery at the delivery address will act as proof that the delivery has been received by you or the person to whom the order is addressed. If nobody is available to accept your delivery, you will receive a card to advise that delivery was attempted and will provide further instruction with regards to retrieving your order or arranging re-delivery.
- Free delivery and reduced-price delivery promotions are subject to availability and the terms of the promotion. Free delivery and other promotional codes remain the property of Rowena Garden Centres, are non-transferable and may not be reproduced in any other form.
Registered & Guest Customer Delivery
This is a standard service at £4.99 which includes VAT and is available to most postal areas within the UK Mainland. Geographic location, courier availability and order weight/volume can affect the availability and price of our standard delivery service.
- Standard Delivery is charged at £4.99 including VAT.
- We aim to deliver all orders within 3-5 working days. Our delivery days are Monday – Friday and delivery will be made between 7:00am - 6:00pm.
- The 3-5 working day delivery period begins the following working day of when your order was placed.
- Delivery may take longer than 5 working days in peak times, such as the months leading up to Christmas and Bank Holiday periods. However, we will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum.
- Delivery to certain rural areas may take longer than 5 working days.
- Postal areas that are exempt from Standard Delivery include, but are not limited to; BFPO addresses, all areas outside of the UK Mainland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Anglesey, Orkney, Shetland Islands, Scottish Islands and the following post codes: AB, IV, KW, PH, PA20-49 & PA60-78.
- We do not currently offer International Delivery.
Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
Please note that our returns, refunds and cancellations policy only apply to orders placed online via www.rowenagc.com. For more information regarding returning items that you purchased in-store please contact a member of the team at your local store.
Returns Information
We hope you are completely satisfied with your online purchase. However, if for any reason you have changed your mind or are not entirely happy with an item that you have received you can return it to us. Please note that the terms of which these will be accepted under will vary depending on the time frame of when the items are being returned to us, listed below are the terms and conditions for returns.
Within 28 Days
You can return any order placed online to us for a full refund providing you have informed us, and the goods have been received within 28 calendar days. This will start from the day after the order was delivered, and all items must be in an unused and saleable condition in its original packaging. Within this time-frame you will be eligible for a full refund of the items being returned, if the whole order is being returned you will also receive the original delivery charge.
Where items have been used
If you make a return to us based on the above policies and the items have been used, you must ensure that all items returned are in their original packaging and fit for resale. Failure to do so may result in us rejecting the return. We also reserve the right not to refund or credit anything for the item(s) as it would have breached the above terms on items being returned in an unused and saleable condition.
Return By Post
You can simply return your item(s) along with your delivery note via your local Post Office, or other courier of your choice. Please note, we do recommend asking for proof of postage, it may be useful if your parcel goes missing or is damaged whilst in their distribution network.
Returning a large item?
If you have a larger item or order that needs returning to us, then please contact our Customer Service team and we will arrange a collection for you. In this case the service will be booked on your requested working day Monday to Friday between the times of 7am and 6pm. If a more specific time slot is requested, we may be able to do this for you but depending on the courier this may not always be possible.
Returning to a Rowena Garden Centres store
Please return your item(s) along with your delivery note and the card you used to place the order to the reception desk at your local store. There a member of staff will be more than happy to help. If the order was placed using PayPal, your details will be passed onto our Customer Service team to get your returns processed.
Refunds
Once we have received your item(s) at our returns centre and you have paid by debit or with credit card, a member of our Customer Service team will be in touch to refund your card. Depending on the card issuer it may take up to 5 days for the refund to show in your account. If you have paid using PayPal, we will not contact you, we will just credit your PayPal account.

Membership
Registered Customer
To register for a membership, you must adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in the below section. You can register for a membership at the reception desk of your local store, where you will receive a membership card immediately.

Our Rewards Card and App is our way of saying thank you for shopping with us.
- General Terms
The promoter of The Rowena Membership Card whose registered company name and number is Rowena Garden Centres Ltd 16075081 and registered office is Rowena Garden Centres Ltd, Loughborough Rd, Rothley, Leicester, LE7 7NL.
By joining the Rowena Membership Card loyalty program, we will collect and use personal information about you in accordance with data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy. This personal information includes your registration details, information about the use of your Loyalty Card, shopping purchases and other information that you give us. It will be used to administer the loyalty program, provide you with benefits, personalising your offers and to keep you updated with our latest news.
These terms and conditions replace all previous versions and are correct as of March 2025. They will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England, and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts. Rowena Garden Centres Ltd reserves the right to change these at any time, on reasonable notice for legal, regulatory, business or policy reasons. Members who continue to participate in the scheme following such a change will be considered to have accepted the updated terms and conditions.
A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have no right under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of these terms and conditions, but this shall not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from that Act.
Members are only entitled to participate in one loyalty account each.
Rowena Garden Centres Ltd reserves the right to refuse, merge or close additional accounts at any time.
Loyalty accounts, coupons, points and vouchers cannot be transferred, bought, sold or traded in any way and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. Terms and conditions of voucher use will apply and will be stated on each voucher issued.
All vouchers issued are non-transferable
If the loyalty program reasonably suspects abuse, fraud or misconduct in respect of use of the card, it may refuse to issue and/or cancel points or vouchers. You may not rely on any human or software error which results in the award of points or vouchers to which you are not entitled under these conditions.
If no transaction occurs by a member in any consecutive twelve-month period, any offers and/or vouchers may not be issued.
- Use of personal data
Rowena Garden Centres Ltd uses your shopping buying behaviour to help us better understand you as a customer and provide you with personalised offers and services. Rowena Garden Centres Ltd uses basic data about your general shopping habits (and those of similar households) to group customers into different segments which allows us to personalise our offers and services for you including in our marketing communications.
Your purchase history will be used to look up receipts on your request and to send relevant information and reward vouchers.
Rowena Garden Centres Ltd finds potential customers who "look like" existing customers on platforms such as Facebook and Google for advertising purposes ('platform'). To do this, Rowena Garden Centres Ltd uses information about your general shopping habits to create groups of customers that may be interested in our products and services. If you're within one of these groups for a given campaign, Rowena Garden Centres Ltd may share some basic data about you (and the other customers in the group) with the platform. This helps the platform to find and show adverts to other users of its platform who have similar interests to you. You can stop Rowena Garden Centres Ltd use of your data in this way by opting out of this marketing by unsubscribing from our marketing emails. You can also opt out of being included in a platform's lookalike audiences directly via them.
There are organisations that Rowena Garden Centres Ltd work with to deliver and improve the services we offer to you. For example: technology and data services (such as analysing data, processing data and managing marketing communication campaigns). Rowena Garden Centres Ltd only shares personal data that enable our service providers to provide their services, and they only use it for purposes agreed with us.
- Joining the loyalty program
Your name, full postal address, email address, date of birth must be provided for a card to be registered. Applicants must be aged 18 or over and must have a resident UK, Channel Island or Isle of Man address. Rowena Garden Centres Ltd reserves the right to refuse an application at its sole discretion.
Members will need a valid email address to register your card/ sign up to our app. If you do not register your card /app you will not become a member or be able to collect your points nor will you be eligible for other offers and promotions available to members.
Rowena Garden Centres Ltd will use your email address to administer the loyalty program, communicate our T&Cs and send you information about the current offers. If you don’t want to receive marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at the bottom of the emails. However, by unsubscribing, you won’t be able to see all the great offers available to you without logging in to the app.
- Biometric Login
For enhanced security and ease, the Rowena Membership Cardmobile application may offer biometric login capabilities, including but not limited to thumbprint or facial recognition. This feature is optional and can be used by a member at their discretion.
By opting into enabling the Biometric Login feature, you consent to the use of your data solely for the purpose of identity verification and application access. This data will be encrypted and stored securely on your device.
Members are responsible for ensuring that their biometric data is kept secure and for not allowing others to access their account via Biometric Login.
Members can change or disable the Biometric Login feature at any time through the Application settings. Upon disabling, Members will be required to use alternative login methods, such as a password.
Rowena Garden Centres Ltdshall not be held liable for any loss, theft, or unauthorised access to a Member’s account through the Biometric Login feature.
- Points Vouchers
Rewards and points are only offered as a result of purchasing products within Rowena Garden Centres Ltd.
Points will not be awarded for non-qualifying products, including gift cards, gas or concessions.
Members can collect 2.5 points for every £1 spent in a single transaction (after discounts and exclusions). Points are converted into vouchers and issued with a qualifying statement with expiry date and other terms and conditions displayed on the member’s voucher.
Each point is worth 1p in reward vouchers. Points have no value until converted into vouchers and must be used in full in one transaction with any remaining balance being voided.
Customers must spend a minimum of £100 within 1 year to receive a voucher. If your total spend is below this threshold, the issuance of a voucher will be at the discretion of Rowena Garden Centres Ltd, and any remaining balance will be considered void.
Rowena Garden Centres Ltd is entitled to remove points from a member’s account at any time, if products are returned for any reason and a full or partial refund of the purchase price is given. This also applies to the exchange of products, unless the exchange is for products with an equivalent points value.
Rowena Garden Centres Ltd reserves the right to alter the terms of the points system at any time and is under no obligation to award points for any reason outside of qualifying transactions.
- Birthday Treat
Members who provide their date of birth at point of application or by updating their details within their App will be issued a birthday treat voucher on or around the birth date they supply.Expiry date and other terms and conditions will be displayed on the member’s voucher. Members will only be entitled to one birthday voucher per year.

- Hot Drinks Loyalty Card
Members will be provided with a hot drinks' loyalty card in their App which will issue a voucher for a free hot drink after the member purchases 9 hot drinks at full price. The member must scan their App card for each of the 9 hot drinks purchased to qualify for this offer.
Rowena Garden Centres Ltd reserve the right to change or withdraw the hot drink loyalty card at any time.
- Prize Draws
We may invite members to enter a prize draw, members may be required to make a purchase from Rowena Garden Centres Ltdand to scan their App card during the transaction.
Winners will be selected via a randomised computer process. The draw will be made within 5 working days of the closing date and winners will be contacted within 14 days.
Rowena Garden Centres Ltd will make reasonable efforts to contact the winners. However, if a winner has not responded to notification within 14 days of the first attempt, or if a selected winner is ineligible, in breach of these rules, or unable to take up the prize for any other reason, an alternative winner will be drawn using the same methodology as above. The process will repeat until an eligible winner is able to claim the prize.
Rowena Garden Centres Ltd cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or delivery.
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part.

Where the prize coupon is a voucher to spend by the winner on any future transactions it must be within the valid period from the date of issue shown on the voucher. The value of the prize coupon must be spent in full on a transaction and no part payment accepted whereby any funds not used will be lost. All other terms and conditions will be clearly presented on the coupon, along with an expiry date, within the member app.
The prize is a non-transferable discount coupon and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part.

- Termination of Membership
Rowena Garden Centres Ltd would be sorry to see you leave but you may terminate your App at any time in which case all points on the card and vouchers issued shall be lost.
Steps to delete your App account:
Step 1 – Log into your App
Step 2 – Press the Account icon at the bottom of your App
Step 3 – Select the tab called ‘Details’
Step 4 – Scroll to the bottom and tap ‘Permanently Delete Account’
Step 5 – Enter your App password and press ‘DELETE’
Step 6 – Your customer record is permanently deleted immediately.
