Cabbage (Savoy) Cordesa F1Vegetable (8193)

Sale price£3.99

Cordesa F1 is a genuine first for home growers — the first club root-resistant Savoy cabbage, so the disease that ruins so many brassica beds is no longer a worry with this one. The deep green, heavily crinkled leaves are rich in iron and other vitamins, and the plants build into large, dense heads capable of feeding a whole family from a single cabbage. Sow March to April for a substantial autumn crop that stands up well to cooler weather and hard frosts, so there's no rush to harvest it all at once. As with all brassicas, avoid ground that grew cabbages the previous year, and net young plants against birds while they establish.
