Unwins Cucumber Vista F1

Vista F1 is an ambitious cucumber, giving high yields of slightly ribbed fruits with genuinely great flavour, chopped raw into salads. It's an all-female variety that sets fruit without pollination, and a nice bonus is that the attractive, ferny foliage is edible too. Sow indoors February to May, on their edge in individual pots, then train the vigorous climbing stems up a wire or cane, pinching out growing tips once they reach the top of the support. Water regularly, especially in hot weather, feed with a tomato fertiliser to promote fruiting, and pick often before fruits overripen — regular picking keeps more coming right through July to September.
