Unwins French Bean (Climbing) Goldfield
Goldfield brings genuine colour to the veg patch — flat, stringless golden-yellow pods that look as good on the plate as they taste, and are a good source of vitamins and nutrients. It's early to mature with good disease resistance and a long harvest period, climbing readily up a double row of canes for a heavy, easy-to-pick crop. It'll also do well in a large container at least 75cm across, such as a half-barrel. Put supports in place before planting, sow April to May, and pick pods regularly once they reach about 10cm and snap easily — you'll be harvesting from July through September.
