Unwins French Bean (Climbing) Hunter

Sale price£3.99

Unwins French Bean (Climbing) Hunter produces tasty, flat, stringless pods, with flowers that set readily for a lovely heavy crop — this high-yielding variety does best in a warm spot sheltered from wind. Sow indoors individually in pots at a minimum of 12°C, or direct outdoors 5cm deep once frost risk has passed, spacing plants 15–20cm apart in soil enriched with organic matter. Have support in place before sowing or planting out: a double row of canes at least 1.8m tall with 45cm between rows, or a container at least 75cm in diameter. Pick regularly once pods reach about 10cm and snap easily — climbing beans crop over a longer period than dwarf varieties, harvesting from August through September.
