Polar Bear F1 is a genuinely striking pumpkin — ghostly white skin wrapped around bright yellow-orange flesh, staying pale even as the fruit matures for a proper spooky Halloween display. It's an unusual, eye-catching variety that grows to an impressive 20-25kg, making it a real centrepiece whether displayed whole on the porch or carved into a distinctive white-skinned lantern. It's disease resistant and does well in raised beds or large containers, provided it has full sun and plenty of room to sprawl. Sow March to May, water and feed generously as the fruit swells, and you'll be harvesting from September through October.
