Ornamental Grass Millet Purple Majesty F1

Purple Majesty is an ornamental grass that brings genuine architectural drama to a border — striking deep purple foliage topped with tall, dark flower spikes that stand well above surrounding planting. It's a real statement piece, and once the seed heads form they become a magnet for garden birds, adding a bit of wildlife interest alongside the visual impact. Interestingly, young plants start out green; the dramatic purple colour only develops once they're established outdoors, so don't be alarmed if seedlings look unremarkable at first. Sow indoors February to April in a sunny, sheltered spot 30cm apart, and you'll see that striking purple colouring and flower spikes from June through September.
