Unwins Runner Bean Sweepstake (Dwarf)

Sweepstake proves you don't need a wall of canes to grow runner beans — a dwarf, bushy variety that stays under 50cm and needs no support at all, making it perfect for a patio container or the front of a flower bed. It's a heavy cropper with pretty red and white flowers that set freely, an RHS Pollinator variety that's as good for bees as it is for the kitchen. Pick the pods regularly to keep the plant flowering and producing right through the season. Sow April to May, water generously through dry spells, and you'll be harvesting from August through September.
